KIRKLAND, WA — Wave, a gigabit fiber and broadband services company, announced that its CondoInternet subsidiary has expanded northward, bringing residential high-speed gigabit service to Everett for the first time. CondoInternet just completed fiber construction and the successful launch of symmetrical gigabit and 100 Mbps Internet speed options in two downtown Everett buildings, Library Place and Peninsula Apartments, and will also provide its services in the soon-to-open Aero Apartments.

“Initial feedback from our Library Place and Peninsula properties has been overwhelmingly positive and we’re looking forward to including the gigabit service in Aero Apartments upon its opening this summer.”

Wave Invests Heavily in Gigabit Infrastructure
All three properties are owned and managed by Everett-based Skotdal Real Estate and total nearly 400 living units. Since acquiring CondoInternet in September 2013, Wave has invested heavily in the company’s growth by building out its gigabit fiber network, hiring additional staff and taking other measures to improve and expand its infrastructure. CondoInternet has provided gigabit Internet service in Seattle since 2008, with service now available to more than 20,000 area homes. Beyond the Skotdal properties, CondoInternet plans to further expand its residential gigabit service in and around Everett.

“We are thrilled to introduce residential gigabit service to an important and growing market in Everett,” said John van Oppen, SVP of CondoInternet and Wave. “Everett and Snohomish County residents deserve access to the Northwest’s fastest and most reliable Internet and we appreciate partnering with a locally based leader in Skotdal Real Estate to make it happen.”

“From the outset, we’ve developed all of our downtown properties with an eye toward providing residents with access to the best amenities and now this includes the fastest residential Internet connection in Everett,” said Craig Skotdal, president of Skotdal Real Estate. “Initial feedback from our Library Place and Peninsula properties has been overwhelmingly positive and we’re looking forward to including the gigabit service in Aero Apartments upon its opening this summer.”

While residential gigabit service is new to Everett, Wave has provided high-speed fiber connectivity for business in the area since 2012. CondoInternet provides gigabit connectivity to another Snohomish County market, as residents of Lynnwood’s Tivalli Apartments have had access since October 2014.
