Crown Point Telephone to Build Fiber Optic Network in Ticonderoga

CROWN POINT, NY - According to local press reports, Crown Point Telephone, a family-owned telco in the rural Adirondack region of New York, is planning to launch a CLEC subsidiary and build a fiber optic network in the nearby town of Ticonderoga. Construction will begin in spring 2012, and the network will offer services to businesses. Verizon is the incumbent carrier in Ticonderoga but has not built its FiOS network there.
