WEST CHESTER, PA - The Products Division of CTDI, which acquired access network supplier Alloptic in 2010, announced that it was moving the former Alloptic facility in Livermore, Calif., to its Engineering Center of Excellence in West Chester, Pa.
CTDI, primarily an engineering and repair firm, says it will focus on R&D and deployment of its RFoG and PON solutions. The transition, which will be completed in December 2011, should help the company offer a solid FTTH solution to MSO, telecom and private network operator customers.
CTDI's FTTH products will be backed by the more than 150 engineers already located in West Chester, enabling investment in product enhancements and R&D to continue growing the capabilities of the portfolio. New products showcased by CTDI at the FTTH Expo this week included the Edge 10 EPON OLT, DOCSIS Provisioning over EPON (DPoE) and the RFoG Managed Micronode.
