DSM Introduces High Efficiency DeSolite Coatings for Optical Fiber

ELGIN, IL — Royal DSM, a global life sciences and materials sciences company, announced the introduction of High Efficiency DeSolite Coatings for optical fiber. This new coating system in the DeSolite portfolio provides enhanced processing robustness with excellent on-fiber performance and durability.

High Efficiency DeSolite Coatings were designed to enhance fiber processing capabilities by providing low volatility for large preform draws and are capable of running at fast line speeds for both wet-on-dry and wet-on-wet processing. Fibers produced with this system display high performance with excellent tensile strength and support field robustness under severe environmental conditions including exposure to different types of cabling gel, heat and low temperatures.
