OTTOWA, CANADA – Fiber-to-the-home equipment vendor Enablence Technologies has expanded its product line to include RFoG, an FTTH technology that enable cable operators to migrate from hybrid fiber-coaxial networks to passive optical networks while continuing to use their existing equipment and systems. Enablence’s product portfolio already included access solutions for GPON, EPON, and Active Ethernet.

“Enablence provided us with a comprehensive platform necessary to meet the evolving needs of our commercial subscribers,” says Nicolas Vidal, access network project manager, Cablevision-Argentina. “Not only does the Enablence platform provide the flexibility and scalability we require in a compact footprint, Enablence provides a level of service and a proactive approach to understanding and serving our business that other vendors simply cannot match.”

Introducing the Enablence RFoG Micro Node
The RFoG Micro Node provides complete two-way RF services over a fiber optic distribution network. The node can be deployed as a standalone RFoG ONT or in conjunction with an EPON or GPON optical network terminal to provide a complementary two-way RF video overlay solution to a high-speed digital EPON or GPON network. In addition, it is fully compatible with existing headend signal processing, metro area transport, back office, and customer service operations.
