RG Fiber Brings Gigabit Internet to Baldwin City, Kansas

BALDWIN CITY, KS — Gigabit fiber Internet is being launched in Baldwin City through a major effort by Reflective Group, a local software engineering firm. Once the Baldwin City network is completed, RG Fiber will have invested $5 million into the local economy.

Reflective Group, a cloud technology startup, was created in 2011 by three tech entrepreneurs, Mike Bosch, Casey Morford and Josh Strohm, who wanted to prove that great tech companies can be built in the Midwest. Within two and half years, they became one of the larger employers in Baldwin City and appeared on the front page of Yahoo News for reversing the rural brain drain. Unfortunately, by 2013, they had outgrown the Internet capacity in their small town and quickly discovered that other key organizations were facing the same issue.

Reflective Group created RG Fiber and partnered with K&W Underground, the region’s premier utility construction company to build a gigabit fiber network.
