"Third quarter results reflect our ongoing commitment too investing in our assets that have the strongest potential for future growth, while actively managing the parts of the business are experiencing secular decline," said Dan McCathy, president and CEO. "In Consumer we achieved sequential improvements in broadband trends in fiber markets, with competitive headwinds continuing to impact copper broadband markets. The decline in Commercial revenues was driven primarily by wholesale revenue. While we continue to take action to improve our financial position, we also remain focused on the operational aspects of our business and serving the needs of our residential and business customers."
