GCI Announces 1 Gigabit Fiber re:D in Anchorage

ANCHORAGE, AK — GCI, a provider of voice, data and video services in Alaska, announced that it will be bringing fiber re:D broadband to Fairbanks before the end of 2016. This 1 Gbps broadband service will not only be the fastest Internet available in Alaska but will be comparable to the fastest speeds available in the entire United States.
