HUNTSVILLE, AL - Glandorf Telephone Company, a telcom provider in Northwest Ohio, is using Total Access 5000 broadband platform from ADTRAN, a provider of next-generation networking solutions, to enable high-speed broadband and video service to both residential and business customers in Northwest Ohio. The flexibility of Total Access 5000 allows Glandorf to capitalize on its extensive existing copper network to double the bandwidth service speed over bonded copper for rural residents who cannot be serviced by the fiber network.

Utilizing Both Copper and Fiber Architectures
ADTRAN’s Total Access 5000 allows Glandorf to reinvent its access network by delivering broadband over both copper and fiber architectures, providing the capacity and scalability needed to meet the growing demand for super-premium Internet and HD video services with a seamless migration path for existing legacy services.

ADTRAN’s broadband platform provides virtually unlimited network bandwidth with an ultra-low cost of ownership, allowing Glandorf to expand its addressable market and reach residents who may not have had easy access to these types of services previously.

“Our previous solution limited our ability to offer our customers the services they were looking for. We knew we needed to find a solution that would increase speed and serve more subscribers,” said Jason Kleman, IT manager with Glandorf Telephone Company. “Since implementing ADTRAN’s broadband platform, we are able to provide more reliable and efficient service to our customers, increasing customer satisfaction.”
