Google Fiber Tops Netflix ISP Speed Index

LOS GATOS, CA - Google Fiber takes the top spot on Netflix's newly updated “Netflix ISP Speed Index," which ranks Internet service providers (ISPs) based on which ones provide the best Netflix streaming experience.

The Netflix ISP Speed Index provides an easy overview of the performance of ISPs in several of the countries in which its service is available. Updated on a monthly basis, the site allows for easy comparison of ISPs in a country as well as international comparisons.

The Netflix ISP Speed Index is based on data from the more than 36 million Netflix members who view over 1 billion hours of TV shows and movies streaming from Netflix per month. The listed speeds reflect the average performance of all Netflix streams on each ISP's network and are an indicator of the performance typically experienced across all users on an ISP network.
