ROCHESTER, NY — Greenlight Networks, an ultra high-speed, broadband service start-up, has lowered the price of its residential gigabit Internet service to $100 per month, a 60 percent price decrease. The company boasts service up to 100 times faster than a typical broadband connection, literally transforming the way businesses and consumers can live, work, and play.

“We wanted to expand the reach of Rochester’s fastest residential Internet service to and keep our prices in line with other top Gigabit communities around the country,” said Greenlight President, Mark Murphy. “This is our home, and we want the Rochester area to be considered America’s next ‘Gig City.’”

Gigabit Internet without Cable, Phones or Contracts
Greenlight’s high-speed Internet service has no data usage caps, making it an ideal solution for individuals and families who either watch their favorite TV shows and movies on Netflix and Hulu; are interested in online gaming like Minecraft; have several connected devices like iPads, Xbox, PCs, and smart phones; need to be on the Internet at the same time; or are simply looking for a competitively priced, high-quality alternative to the cable and phone companies. The service is available without cable, phones or contracts. Greenlight currently has Internet plans starting at $50 a month.

Greenlight Networks is currently available in select areas of Brighton, East Rochester, Henrietta, Irondequoit, Pittsford, and Rochester. The company intends to deploy in underserved markets across the Greater Rochester Area, Upstate New York State and beyond. “We will continue to expand our fiber network based on customer demand, which we will determine by registrations on our website. We will provide regular updates on our website and on social media to inform interested parties of where their neighborhood stands in our rankings,” added Murphy.
