Multifamily Broadband Council (MBC) is proud to announce its 2016 Conference, November 16–17, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. This will be the fifth annual event targeted to the independent broadband audience.

MBC’s predecessor organization, the Independent Multi-Family Communications Council (IMCC), maintained a longstanding relationship with Broadband Communities, and Multifamily Broadband Council is pleased to continue and expand that relationship. IMCC and now MBC have been ongoing co-hosts at the annual Broadband Communities Summit, which presents a great opportunity for the organization to see its members, prospects and multifamily clients.

In 2012, IMCC realized that, in addition to participating in the Summit, there was also a need to bring back more targeted education and information for members and the industry. Nonfranchised, independent broadband providers that deliver wireless, cable modem, DSL, Ethernet and fiber-to-the-home technologies to the multifamily market are the only competitors to the typical franchise cable and telephone companies.

This independent industry therefore provides the only broadband alternatives for MDU owners that want to provide up-and-coming technologies to their residents. MBC knows that installing these systems and serving this audience is quite different from delivering services to single-family customers, and it is a proven industry resource for these scenarios and solutions.

“Multifamily Broadband Council will bring the top broadband manufacturers, suppliers and independent service providers in the country to our conference in Dallas this November,” says Dan Terheggen, president of the MBC board.

“Not only do our member companies represent the cutting edge of technology available for multifamily owners, but they also provide the only alternative choices for MDU owners other than the telcos and franchise cable companies. Our event helps them learn the latest tips to increase their knowledge, keep their business competitive against the larger players and learn best practices in serving this market. The networking is also phenomenal.”

Multifamily Broadband Council will bring industry partner manufacturers, content providers, distributors, network engineers, equipment suppliers and consultants to offer a bird’s-eye view on the latest technology movements that impact the industry. Sessions will also cover the challenges of serving this unique MDU market space.

What You'll Learn

The education program will include the latest on fiber optics, bandwidth needs, wireless technologies, trends, new products, legal concerns and the future of technology in serving the multifamily owners and residents.

You won’t want to miss keynote speaker Dr. Stan Stahl, founder and president of Citadel Information Group. He’ll explain what is at stake for you regarding cybersecurity and information security management – and the stakes may be higher than you think. Dr. Stahl has secured teleconferencing at the White House, databases inside Cheyenne Mountain and the communications network that controlled the United States’ arsenal of nuclear weapons. You could say he knows a thing or two about ways to mitigate risk!

Multifamily Broadband Council fosters knowledge and networking among its members, helping them be better equipped to compete against billion-dollar corporations in the multifamily market and beyond. It provides strategic guidance, connections and solutions, and invites all levels to participate in the conference: CEOs, management, sales, marketing and IT professionals. There will be something for everyone.
