HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC — Hargray Communications, which provides Internet, television, and communications services in Beaufort, Jasper, and Hampton counties in South Carolina, and Chatham, Bulloch, and Liberty counties in Georgia, announced an expansion into two new markets in Georgia - Statesboro and Hinesville. As part of the expansion, Hargray will invest the capital and resources necessary to install more than 100 miles of fiber network to, and within, the cities.
The company will initially focus on providing businesses in both cities with last mile fiber to deliver high speed Internet, data, voice, video and a portfolio of advanced commercial products.
Construction and installation of the fiber network connecting Statesboro and Hinesville to Hargray’s existing network is already underway, and officials expect to have the network completed by the end of this year.
