IEEE GLOBECOM 2010 Call For Papers Ends March 15

NEW YORK The Call for Papers for the IEEE Global Communications Conference (IEEE GLOBECOM 2010), the annual flagship conference of the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc), will end  March 15, 2010. All prospective authors, presenters and speakers are invited to visit www.ieee-globecom.org/2010 for submission details, author guidelines and conference updates, including agenda and registration information.

With a theme of “Miami: Moving Into The Age of Mobile Interactivity,” IEEE GLOBECOM 2010 will be held December 6 – 10 at The Hyatt Regency in Miami, Florida. This year’s event is expected to host more than 300 technical sessions, workshops, tutorials, forums, demonstrations and keynotes dedicated to the advance of technologies including networked and wireless  multimedia communications.

IEEE GLOBECOM 2010 has scheduled presentations from leading communications experts representing MIT, Stanford, Princeton, Northwestern, Georgia Institute of Technology, the University of Edinburgh, Cisco, Intel, Microsoft and others. These industry leaders will be discussing such topics as “Smart Phones: A Revolution in Mobile Computing,” “NANONETWOKS: A New Frontier in Communications,” “Dynamic Spectrum Management,” “The Future of Human Communications,” “The Road Ahead for Wireless Technology,” “Green Radio: The Case for More Efficient Cellular Base-Stations,” “Toward Glitch-Free Multimedia Communications” and “Seamless Mobility in Wireless Networks: Are We There Yet?”

Symposia will highlight recent trends in ad-hoc and sensor networking; communication and system security; communication theory; communication QoS, reliability and modeling;  communication software, services and multimedia applications; next-generation  networking; optical networks and systems; signal processing for communications; wireless communications; wireless networking; and selected areas in communications.

IEEE GLOBECOM 2010 will also host  tutorials exploring such critical technical and business issues as cognitive radio, adaptive wireless communications systems, wireless MediaNets, cooperative communications and next-generation mobile applications, as well as workshops on such topics as socially aware and femtocell networks, broadband wireless access and pervasive group communications.

Other prominent scheduling highlights for IEEE GLOBECOM 2010 will include:

- Executive forum highlighting the visions and experiences of top industry leaders

- Plenary technical forums focusing on future networks, QoS multimedia, sensor networks,  wireless communications and wireless networks

- Business forums covering the latest innovations within and the many challenges confronting the communications industry

- Student program with awards and talks specially designed for student attendees

- The exhibitions of numerous leading corporations offering in-depth information on the latest developments in voice, data, image, and multimedia
