Luxembourg Partners With Alcatel-Lucent for Fiber Network

PARIS - P&TLuxembourg, the incumbent service provider in Luxembourg, announced plans to launch FTTH broadband access using technology from Alcatel-Lucent. The new network will provide streaming video, music and social networking for Luxembourg consumers and videoconferencing and cloud-based productivity tools to businesses. P&TLuxembourg says it seeks to strengthen the country’s position as a leading financial and trade center and an attractive location for businesses of all kinds.

P&TLuxembourg will improve network reliability to support extremely sensitive financial and business transactions that occur on its network, while exploring potential new business models and revenue opportunities that can take advantage of the enhanced network.
