Netadmin Systems Demos Service Exchange Platform at FTTH Conference

ORLANDO, FL - Nordic OSS/BSS developer Netadmin Systems is showcasing its new network management product, which it says its capable of taking fast broadband to areas outside of reach of conventional technologies, at this week's FFTH Conference & Expo in Orlando.

Netadmin Systems' Service Exchange Platform (SEP) aggregates open-access networks, enabling each independent network to be responsible for its own administration, operation and IT infrastructure while allowing service providers to deal with all the aggregated networks as a single entity.

Netadmin CEO Matthias Trygg says, "New initiatives for building next-generation access networks are currently taking place in large scale. The networks are mostly small to mid-size, and there is therefore a need to standardize the services being offered. The Service Exchange Platform provides a single interface so that services and subscribers in multiple external access networks can be managed simply and effectively. It will boost broadband reach, connecting consumers and supporting economic productivity."

The SEP provides a single point for managing line access services in different networks. Each network connected to SEP provides a compliant application programming interface, or API, that lets service providers deliver service over all connected networks. Service providers can also communicate via a graphical user interface.

The SEP defines functionality for support of service fulfillment, service assurance and operations support and readiness processes. It supports service providers and line access providers including capacity/middle-mile/transport providers, as well as Ethernet active line access. It uses distributed storage architecture for maximum performance and security.

The first deployment of the solution is set to be unveiled in October, with a second installation ready for completion shortly afterward.
