New Braunfels, Texas Selects Magellan for Broadband Feasibility Study

DENVER, CO — Magellan Advisors, a broadband planning and telecom consulting firm, has been selected to assist the city of New Braunfels, Texas in developing a comprehensive broadband feasibility study. The study will help the city identify challenges and opportunities which can improve local broadband services for the community, and expand broadband services to community anchor institutions including healthcare, education, libraries and community support services and organizations. The study will also evaluate ways in which a community broadband network may expand and enhance economic development opportunities for New Braunfels.

Magellan Advisors will work with the city and community to develop an understanding of how New Braunfels could best support opportunities for broadband expansion. Magellan’s team of experienced consultants will conduct a broadband needs assessment, broadband market analysis, and broadband infrastructure assessment. This will provide the city with comprehensive information, analysis, strategies and recommendations that will equip city leaders with the necessary information to make informed decisions on how to improve broadband services in New Braunfels, create new opportunities for its community anchors, and current and future businesses, and enhance the quality of life for its citizens.
