JACKSONVILLE, FL — Allied Fiber, an open-access, integrated, network-neutral colocation and dark fiber superstructure, announced a 20-year lease agreement with QCSTelecom, a leading provider of telecom services to facilities owned and operated by Watchtower Bible & Tract Society of New York and related entities. Under terms of the agreement, QCSTelecom will lease 288 miles of dark fiber on Allied Fiber’s recently completed Southeast Network, which spans from Miami to Atlanta. This allows QCSTelecom to bring bandwidth capacity and dark fiber connectivity, via Allied Fiber, to Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York’s new educational center, located in the city of Palm Coast, Florida.

The city of Palm Coast provided 11 miles of lateral dark fiber to bridge the Palm Coast Educational Center and the Allied Fiber system to the optimal QCSTelecom signal point and create a ubiquitous end-to-end solution from the NAP of the Americas in Miami to the training facility. “Working with QCSTelecom provides tremendous benefits to both of our companies, in addition to the economic value provided to organizations like Watchtower located in Palm Coast, Florida and the City itself,” said Hunter Newby, CEO of Allied Fiber. “The community will gain access to unprecedented levels of bandwidth capacity that will impact the way they work, learn and live their lives.”

Allied Fiber provides the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society of New York with the ability to fully control their own network by lighting the dark fibers with their own equipment and having open access to it in the network-neutral Allied Fiber colocation facilities. Watchtower Bible & Tract Society of New York acquired The Palm Coast Educational Center in July 2014. The facility is the former Palm Coast Federal Aviation Administration training center.
