HOUSTON — Rural Telecommunications of America (RTA), a provider of affordable modern internet and e-connectivity solutions for rural America, is taking actions to assure internet connectivity in rural areas during the corona virus pandemic.
According to a release from RTA, "Now more than ever our rural communities demand and deserve quality access to the internet for their personal health and well-being, education and ability to remotely access their workplace."
RTA is taking the following actions to help:
- Instituting FREE DRIVE-UP WI-FI HOTSPOTS across our service areas.
- Engineering teams are working around the clock to support our network operations and ensuring high quality network performance.
- Expediting plans to increase capacity to rural service areas.
- Working extra hours to make sure subscribers are well connected.
