SALLISAW, OK - The Sallisaw Municipal Authority has formed a partnership with Momentum, a wholesale phone service provider, to power residential and commercial VoIP services for the Sallisaw Community via DiamondNet, the city’s FTTP system that delivers advanced video, Internet and phone services to area residents and businesses. The agreement was finalized in January and the Eastern Oklahoma city plans to migrate 1,000-plus lines to the Momentum platform in early 2014.

Customers already have access to unlimited bandwidth and will soon be able to fully leverage that technology to enjoy top-rated residential voice, Hosted PBX, SIP trunking and mobility applications from Momentum.

Advanced Business Voice Solutions
“Since DiamondNet launched, our main goal has been to deliver the most modern communications solution available. Momentum will enable us to offer better, more advanced business voice solutions and be a key player in ensuring that we continue to offer best-in-class services,” said Keith Skelton, assistant city manager and director of finance.

“We are eager to migrate the DiamondNet customer base to our platform. Sallisaw was ready to transition to an enterprise solution, and having migrated over 125,000 subscribers to date, Momentum offered the level of experience the city needed to move forward,” said Bill Fox, Momentum president and CEO.

Momentum presented a wholesale VoIP solution that addressed the key elements the Sallisaw Municipal Authority was seeking in a new voice provider:

  • Competitive pricing

  • Advanced enterprise offerings

  • Bundled calling packages

  • Online subscriber portal

  • 24/7 support and 100 percent network uptime

“Community-owned, DiamondNet is dedicated to delivering excellent communication services to Sallisaw residential and commercial end users. Superior customer service and reliability are things we value greatly and Momentum has what it takes to ensure we deliver both,” Skelton said.

Both parties are excited about the opportunity to work together. Fox said he expects that much like the FTTP system, Momentum’s service will be instrumental in driving the city’s economic development, attracting new business and enhancing the competitiveness of our current business community.
