HUNTSVILLE, AL - Sycamore Telephone Company (STC) has deployed ADTRAN's Total Access portfolio as the infrastructure foundation for its $4.1 million Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) broadband upgrade.

With the Broadband Stimulus funded project, Sycamore Telephone is offering cutting edge communication and entertainment services to 4,200 rural residents, 450 local business and 14 community anchor institutions in the area. ADTRAN’s FTTH solutions provide Sycamore with the maximum operational flexibility, leading service density and virtually unlimited network bandwidth. As a result, Sycamore has deployed the most modern next generation network in the area, outpacing nearby, larger cities, in Northern Ohio.

ADTRAN’s FTTH portfolio, including the Total Access 5000 and Total Access 300 series, offers a comprehensive set of broadband solutions from an all-Ethernet platform. By choosing ADTRAN’s FTTH portfolio, Sycamore is able to deploy a high-capacity fiber access network that easily scales to handle the most bandwidth intensive services, including IPTV, Voice over IP (VoIP) and high-speed Internet at ultra-broadband speeds. As a result, Sycamore can ensure that its rural residents and businesses have the technology infrastructure that they need to attract new jobs, health care and educational opportunities to their local community.
