TDS expands Fiber Service in Indiana, New Hampshire

MADISON, WI — TDS, a provider of high-speed Internet, phone, and TV entertainment services to customers in more than a hundred rural, suburban, and metropolitan communities, is improving and expanding its fiber network in parts of Indiana and Newhampshire.

Indiana
TDS is making improvements to its existing fiber lines in Indiana. The investment makes way for new and increased Internet speeds of 100 Mbps, 300 Mbps and 1 Gbps, and introduces TDS TV to customers. IPTV and increased Internet speeds are expected to begin launching in September.

TDS is also bringing Fiberville to Whitestown, Ind. The concept rewards residents and neighborhoods with special offers and discounts once 15 percent of the neighborhood pre-registers for TDS TV service. When this happens, “Fiberville” status is achieved and each pre-registered household receives free HD for life.

“Fiberville offers residents a unique opportunity to get out and talk to their neighbors and to get extra savings for as long as they’re a TDS customer,” Maiers said. “It’s also a great chance to get fantastic TV service. Customers tell us how much they enjoy TDS TV, the included DVR, and how easy it is to use.”

New Hampshire
TDS is also expanding TDS TV, an IP-based TV service, and new, faster Internet speeds of up to 1 gigabit to customers in Warner and Bradford, New Hampshire, and surrounding communities. The 1 Gig Internet service, the fastest speed offered by TDS, is expected to begin launching in September and continues through the remainder of 2015.

Residents may have already noticed TDS construction in the area as TDS lays miles of fiber and installs new fiber distribution hubs to upgrade the local network to fiber optics. Once the fiber-optic network is complete, speeds up to 1 gigabit will be available with TDS TV service.

“With the success of TDS TV in other New Hampshire communities like Hillsborough and Henniker, we couldn’t be more excited to bring it to Warner and its neighboring communities,” says Julie Maiers, director of Marketing at TDS. “It means faster speeds, a new choice for TV service, and the opportunity for exclusive discounts.”

TDS is also bringing Fiberville to the communities. It’s a concept that rewards residents and neighborhoods with special offers and discounts once 15 percent of the neighborhood pre-registers for TDS TV service.
