TE Connectivity Launches Cabling Solution for Indoor PONs

GREENSBORO, NC - TE Connectivity announced a new plug-and-play cabling solution for fiber-to-the-desk architectures.

One of the most advanced, high-performance LAN solutions available today, TE's Optical LAN Solution (OLS) can deliver converged voice, video and data at high bandwidth levels for up to 12 miles, making it suitable for new construction as well as campus environments. Its sophisticated GPON data encryption capabilities enable a secure information transport system for fiber to the desk.

As optical fiber moves closer to end users, changes are under way in data centers and equipment closets. New installation and maintenance techniques extend the reach and service life of network infrastructure and deliver greater bandwidth.
