ST. LOUIS - The Loop Media Hub announced The Loop Data Rail, a gigabit Internet fiber optic cable that will be laid beneath the Loop Trolley tracks to bring high-speed Internet to the University City Loop and Skinker-DeBaliviere neighborhoods in St. Louis, providing gigabit Internet access to businesses and residents along the Loop Trolley right of way.
The Loop Data Rail is a byproduct of The Loop Media Hub's community engagement and feasibility study conducted over the last two years. The result will be the rebirth of the first St. Louis neighborhood to utilize the Gigabit Main Street economic development model developed for the community. Look for the network to begin operating in March 2014.
