KISTA, SWEDEN - Broadband access equipment vendor Tilgin announced the launch of the MSA950 fiber termination point, a small, compact addition to its new flexible premises solution portfolio.

Discreet and easy to install, the MSA950 sits between the home gateway and the point of fiber termination in a home. Its passive part is installed during fiber termination, and its active part can be installed by an end user when service is activated or upgraded. Because it enables customers to place their home gateways wherever they choose, Tilgin's FTTH home solution allows maximum Wi-Fi coverage and minimal cabling. The MSA950 handles winding and splicing of multiple fiber strands in an intelligent manner, and it has an RF-overlay option for analog TV.

Eric Hjelmestam, Tilgin's VP for solution management and marketing, says, “We have looked at different ways to offer operators a quick and easy way to install fiber termination points. The MSA950 enables a win-win solution for operators and end users; it allows speedy and easy installation and superior Wi-Fi coverage. We have only heard positive reactions from our clients and the end users to whom we presented the MSA950. We really believe in this device and the flexibility it gives.”
