Town of Breckenridge and ALLO Communications Announce Partnership

BRECKENRIDGE, CO — The Town of Breckenridge has selected ALLO Communications, a provider of fiber telephone, long distance, broadband, internet and television to residents and businesses, to be the service provider for its new fiber9600 fiber infrastructure project. The overall goal of the Fiber9600 project is to enable the community to own its future by creating a reliable, high-speed fiber infrastructure that can serve all of the Town’s connectivity and internet needs into the foreseeable future.

Breckenridge will join other communities such as Centennial, Longmont, Fort Morgan, and Montrose in developing a municipal owned network. Breckenridge will be one of the first mountain resort communities to construct a fiber optic network. An all-fiber network will bring connectivity to the Town of Breckenridge that spans further than just internet service. This network will improve public communications, safety notification, phone service, and point of sale systems, and allow the Town of Breckenridge to implement smart city applications to optimize parking, traffic and trash.

Breckenridge Chooses to Partner with ISP
While some communities choose to operate their own networks and provide service, the Town of Breckenridge made the decision to partner with a service provider to manage connectivity and internet needs for businesses and residents. ALLO Communications, founded in Imperial, Neb. in 2003, was selected as the service provider in March 2019. ALLO Communications has been recognized as Nebraska’s fastest internet service provider, based on the results of customer-initiated tests taken with Speedtest by Ookla, the global leader in internet network testing, data, and analysis (based on Q1, 2019).

“We were very excited to choose ALLO,” commented Assistant Town Manager Shannon Haynes. “We were especially impressed by their professionalism, their experience and success in markets both small and large, and their knowledge of our community. ALLO will be a great partner for the Town and a great community organization in Breckenridge. The have certainly made this whole process much smoother for us.”

“ALLO’s 500 associates are excited to provide our exceptional level of local customer service, honest value, community involvement, and technical support to the Town of Breckenridge. An all-fiber network will allow the Town to future-proof their homes and businesses, grow and operate at a whole new level, and improve the quality of life at the speed of light,” commented Brad Moline, ALLO President.
