AMMON, ID — The City of Ammon announces SumoFiber as the most recent service provider to join its fiber optic infrastructure utility. SumoFiber services, which include Internet, phone and TV, will be available to Ammon fiber residents in early July once necessary connectivity and software automation is complete.

“We are thrilled to see such quality providers make the investment to serve our community,” says Bruce Patterson, technology director, city of Ammon. “SumoFiber has full lineup of great service offerings combined with a solid reputation for customer satisfaction.”

Open Infrastructure Concept
“Their decision to join Ammon is a great validation of the open infrastructure concept developed by the City and our ability to support growth and innovation,” says Mayor Dana Kirkham. “We expect to see further price and performance benefits for our residents as this open marketplace for services continues to develop.”

“SUMOFIBER is pleased to partner with the City of Ammon to offer high-speed data, voice and television services to the residents and businesses. We are excited about the work Bruce has done building the open network for Ammon and are eager to assist in the progress,” says David Burr.

Today’s announcement will bring the overall number of providers available in the Ammon fiber system to six, and increase the residential portal providers to three while also adding additional residential services to the portal system.
