LEXINGTON, KY - Independent cable rep firm Viamedia announced an agreement to exclusively represent the advertising sales for two municipally owned video providers, Bristol Tennessee Essential Services (BTES) and BVU Authority. The border city of Bristol is split between two states, Tennessee and Virginia. BTES operates the municipal FTTH network in Bristol, Tenn., and BVU Authority operates the network in Bristol, Va.

Under this agreement, Viamedia will represent the local, regional and national advertising sales for both BTES and BVU on 55 ad-supported cable networks, including HD networks.

“Both BTES and BVU have been fixtures in the Bristol, Tenn., community for over 65 years,” says Viamedia’s CEO, Jeff Carter. “We are happy to be partnering with them to offer the businesses and buying communities an enhanced opportunity to brand themselves and increase sales through the power of advertising.”
