VisionStream Australia Secures $334 Million for NBN Fiber Network

MELBOURNE - Visionsteam Australia, part of the Leighton Contractors, has been awarded a significant contract with NBNCo initially worth $346 for the roll out of the National Broadband Network (NBN) in Victoria, Queensland and south New South Wales.

Visionsteam has been award three work packages comprising passive fiber network design and construction to bring high-speed fiber optic broadband to Melbourne, Bisbane and southern New South Wales including Wollongong.

The contract is for two years, with options for two extensions of one year each with a combined estimated potential contract value of around $1 billion of work for Visionstream. This latest contract places Visionstream as one of NBN's latgest providers of services and complements Visionstream's already award NBN contracts to build NBN's Transit Network, Tasmanian passive fiber, new developments and the construction of the fixed wireless network.
