DENVER, CO — The Port of Walla Walla, Washington has selected Magellan Advisors, a broadband planning and telecom consulting firm, to create a broadband expansion feasibility study. The study will allow the Port to evaluate the opportunities to expand the fiber-optic network in the greater Walla Walla Valley.
Magellan will work with the Port to create an understanding of what the Port‘s best opportunities are for developing fiber infrastructure, leading to expansion of broadband in the Walla Walla community, by allowing service providers to reach more community anchors and businesses. Executive Director of the Port of Walla Walla Jim Kuntz said, “The Port is eager to work with Magellan Advisors and their expert team to understand how to further create opportunities for broadband expansion throughout our community.”
Magellan’s team of experienced consultants will create a business model along with fiber design and operations planning, providing the Port comprehensive information, analysis, strategies, and recommendations that will equip Port leaders with the necessary information to make informed decisions on how to develop fiber infrastructure in Walla Walla.
