WORKSHOP #1

Helping Communities Tell Their Broadband Story

When good local data are within easy reach, planners and activists can build compelling cases about the broadband and digital equity needs of their communities. This hands-on workshop introduces the I3 Connectivity Explorer, a web-based application that localizes a rich selection of FCC, Census, speed-test, anchor-institution and other open data sets to enhance effective community discussions.

Following an orientation and overview of the data, attendees will be encouraged to test out the Explorer to look at one or more communities where they can combine their personal knowledge with data from the application to improve their understanding of their local situation.
