Mechanical Requirements

BBC can accept a wide variety of formats from its advertising clientele. We do ask that you use the appropriate software in order to prevent production and print problems.

Although we can accept a wide variety of file formats, we prefer ads saved in either PDF, EPS or JPG formats. Images need to be 300 dpi. All files must be saved for 4/C process printing. Please be sure to flatten all files to prevent transparency issues. All colors must be converted to process for 4/C printing – no spot colors. All fonts must be embedded in your file. Please convert fonts to outlines for EPS files. PDF files must be distilled or saved with PDF-X1A standards.

Print:

The Program Guide will be a 4-color, saddle stitching bound book featuring the conference program, biographies, session and speaker profiles, exhibition floor plan and layout.

Specifications:

Book Size: 7 7/8 x 10 3/4

Please be sure to keep the live text at least 3/16” away from final trim, or it may be trimmed off during binding.

Color: 4-color throughout
Binding: Saddle Stitched

Full Page With Bleed: Width – 8.125” x Height – 11”
Full Page No Bleed: Width – 7” x Height – 10”
½ Page With Bleed: Width – 8.125” x Height – 4.75”
½ Page No Bleed: Width – 7” x Height – 4.75”

File Submission:

We ask that all ads be submitted electronically. Below are the instructions to upload to our Dropbox site. Once upload process is complete, please send an email notice to Irene@bbcmag.com, or call her at 505-867-3299. The artwork will be checked, and you will be notified immediately should any problems arise.
